Small Group Launch
We are excited to launch several new and varied small groups this Sunday February 24! We hope that you have been checking out your small group brochure from Sunday February 17 (it is also on Faith's front web page). Come to worship, then you'll be given a time to connect with leaders and sign up for a group in the lobby!

Hymn Sing
Whether you like to sing hymns in the choir, sing along in the pew, or just listen to these great old songs, mark your calendar for Faith’s second Hymn Sing, Sunday, March 17 at 4pm.  For those joining the choir (we do need you!), rehearsals are Tuesday, March 12 from 6:30-9pm and Saturday, March 16 from 9am to 12 noon. Email Carrie to sign up: [email protected].

March Mug Club
If you would like to join other women in an opportunity for fellowship, encouragement, laughter, and getting to know one another, join us for this month’s mug club on Thursday, March 7 at 7pm. Bring yourself (a friend if you desire), and a mug to be filled by the hostess with something yummy to drink. For more information, contact Anne at [email protected] or sign up in the lobby today.

Worship Tech Team
Do you like technology? Are you looking for a place to plug in and serve at Faith? If so, we would like to invite you to sign up for our Tech ministry. We need sound, lighting, and media volunteers, as well as people who are interested in producing. Trainings for these positions will be on Saturday, March 9th (for sound) and Tuesday, March 12 (for media, lights or producing). If you are interested in any of these volunteer areas, please email [email protected].

M.O.M.S. Food Drive
Children of all ages, from Faith Kids to Revolution students to Fusion students, are collecting goods for the M.O.M.S. food shelf. They need things like peanut butter and jelly, canned meat, cereal, laundry soap, shampoo and toilet paper. Items will be collected in the lobby in the donation box through March 3.

Greetings Church Family!

Pastor Mike here. . . Yesterday was Valentine’s Day and isn’t this a strange holiday?  It is that one day of the year that our culture divides everyone into two camps: Either you are happy and in love . . . or cupid’s arrow missed and you are lonely. Perhaps there is even a third camp: You are in a struggling relationship.

As followers of Jesus, the pressures and promises of Valentine’s Day should prompt us to question if ultimate happiness comes from a romantic relationship.  Why? Because as Christians we know that God knows us intimately. More incredibly, God trough the love of the cross, accepts us fully.  We have an admirer who spared no cost to pursue us, who thought of you and of me with love from the very beginning.  And isn’t that the kind of love that we all really long for?  So whatever shape your romantic life is in this week, consider that God’s love is the source of all other loves. It is the deepest desire of the human heart . . .even deeper than chocolates in heart shaped boxes : ).

Below are a few happenings to be aware of in the life of our church family:

Small Group Kick-off

We are excited to launch several new and varied small groups this month! This Sunday you will receive a brochure outlining our new group options. Please read this over during the week.  Next Sunday, February 24, you will be given a time to connect with leaders, ask questions about groups, and sign up. Please be praying about being in a small group.

Agua Viva Dinner

Join us Friday, February 22 at 6:30pm for dinner to meet the team of students traveling to Honduras over their spring break. They will help bring fresh water and the hope of the "Living Water" to a poor, rural village. Please call Jay at 952-412-7682 if you have  questions or would like to RSVP.

Food Outreach:

Every second Monday of the month our church family gathers to volunteer and feed hundreds of families in need. Would you consider joining this incredible movement of grace next month, especially if you have never participated? Sign ups are in the church lobby two weeks prior to the monthly event.

Picture
I love our Evangelical Covenant family!  Greetings from sunny San Diego, California!  Erin, myself, Pastor Char, and Kirk have just spent a fabulous week at the Covenant Midwinter conference for pastors, spouses, and church leaders.  I love our denominational family that cares enough to give us some of the best teaching, preaching, worship, and yes, some much needed time on the beach.

I hear I missed the joy of shoveling show a couple times, but I look forward to being back and catching up with our beloved Faith Covenant family!   -Pastor John Foley

Here are a few things coming up....
